OurAfrican Safari & Golf Experienceis leaving in mid June. Along with the golf played along the way, why not come and experience the deserts of Namibia, the wildlife and sunsets in the Deltas of Botswana, and the majestic Victoria Falls? And as a special treat, you can also play the two courses at Sun City in South Africa. This tour often only runs every other year, so grab the opportunity this year and you won’t be disappointed. Of course, you can extend the trip and pop into Cape Town before coming home if you would like to see Table Mountain! With our minds turning to the approaching cooler months, the attraction of escaping over to Queensland's warmer climes for a golf break starts to look quite appealing. Over the past few years, Queensland has given us consistent warm and dry weather during July & August. The first winter break opportunity for you is theLadies Golf Retreatat Noosa Springs in July. The week is full of fun and laughter and you will return to your home club with a renewed confidence on how to get out of those pesky bunkers and perform cheeky chips onto the greens! Following straight on from the retreat is ourCoolangatta Golf Holiday. Coolangatta provides the ideal base for enjoying some great golf courses the Gold Coast has to offer, without being based in the razzmatazz of Broadbeach and Surfer's. On the other side of Brisbane city, ourSunshine Coast Golf Holidaywill run in early August. And don't forget, you can combine these two holidays and have a month in the Sunshine State, by taking theQueensland 2 Centre holiday.
Antarctica is considered by many to be the ultimate travel destination. It certainly lives up to the superlatives that have been applied by explorers and travellers. Most travellers sail to the Antarctic from South America. Here the crossing to Antarctica is short, the coast ice free for an extended period of time, the wildlife prolific and the scenery staggeringly beautiful. In addition to the Antarctic Peninsula, there is also the opportunity to join expeditions which combine the Antarctica with the wildlife rich Subantarctic Islands. Cruises run between November & March. From mid-December until the end of January you will experience the height of the Antarctic summer when penguin chicks become increasingly independent and you have the longest polar days. In February & March the weather progressively cools but you can expect some of the best whale encounters and beautiful sunsets. There are over 30 Cruise lines that will take you to the Antarctic and they offer every level of service. You can even fly/cruise, taking out having to cruise across the Drake Passage, although there is a downside to this option. If you would like to find out more about making your trip of a lifetime to the Antarctic, then give us a call on0800 377 479to discuss your options.
Each year we run a couple of golf tours that co-inside with the All Blacks playing away in the countries we are visiting, which allows you to combine your love of rugby and golf! Always popular each year is our great valueSouth Africa Golf Tour, that takes in an All Black's vs the Springboks rugby match, a Safari in the world famous Kruger National Park, Cape Town and the Garden route. You even play two rounds at the world renowned Fancourt Golf Resort, which is always a highlight. There are some well priced airfares available to South Africa right now as well, so it's a good time to book your seat for the game in Pretoria...oh and the golf tour! One of the stand-out tours for us last year was theChile & Argentina Golf Tourwhich also takes in an All Blacks vs the Pumas match. Believe it or not, it was Marian & I's first All Blacks match we had been to, and whilst that particular match wasn't the most exciting game of rugby ever, we much enjoyed being dressed in black and the welcome our group got from the Puma fans was fantastic, with many of them wanting photos with us. Aside from the rugby, the Andes crossing, Iguazu Falls, and the Potrerillo & Tupungato golf courses were our other highlights from the tour. With direct flights to Buenos Aires from Auckland on Air New Zealand, getting there is very straightforward these days. South America is an exciting continent to visit and there are a number of easy 'add-ons' you can do after the golf tour - the Galapagos islands, Machu Picchu, Patagonia and Brazil/Rio are popular ones to do. We can make all the arrangements for you so that everything ties in and gets you back home safely. Give us a calltodayto discuss the options.
