Now that we have ‘crushed’ the virus, there is a real sense of freedom again, and people are getting out and about to make up for lost time. There is much in the news and plenty of features about exploring our own backyard whilst our borders to the rest of the world are still closed. Our mini tours to Queenstown, Taupo, Napier,Bay of Islands and Auckland have been well received and if you would like to spend some time with friends, play some golf in a friendly competition, then why not plan to join us soon!
There is still no clear information on when the trans-tasman bubble might open, either to Queensland or to the whole of Australia. I know that many of you are still keen to feel the warmth of the Queensland sun on your backs this year, so if a bubble opens up, we will look to move with speed and put an appropriate tour together. Keep a look out for a special edition of the newsletter if the bubble is announced in time to get away in the late Winter/Spring.
You may be thinking that you don’t want to risk booking some time away just yet in case a ‘second wave’ of the virus hits us, or borders don’t open up as quickly as we think they might. We want you to know that it is safe to book with us in Level 1. During this time, we won’t be asking for deposits from you – just register for the tour of your choosing and nearer the time of departure, we will be in contact to request payment of the tour cost, once it is confirmed that the tour is running and there are no health or travel restrictions. Your registration helps us plan numbers for the tours, so it is important that you formally register with us. This also applies for our overseas trips in the New Year, again, so you can book with confidence knowing you won’t lose out or end up giving a credit to Air New Zealand! Read on to see what’s available, both near and far.
